PUBG and COD Banned?

 Are PUBG and COD are going to ban in our country?





Recently our Indian Government banned 59 Chinese apps including Tik Tok by stating that these apps were threatening the country's defence to win the battle against China. The list contains TikTok, Shareit, UC Browser and many more games but not popular mobile games like PUBG Mobile and Call Of Duty Mobile.

Many people who don't like those games have doubt and have been asking why PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty Mobile have not been banned which are despite being owned by Tencent Games, which is based out of Shenzhen, China. For this question, they got an answer like that they have not been banned because they are not completely Chinese products.




Now both PUBG nd COD is available to download and play on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The Indian servers of both the games are also live and they are functioning at 100% capacity.

PUBG has been developed and is managed by the PUBG Corporation. After the initial success of the game, Tencent Games approached PUBG Corporation to distribute the game in China. After that, the game was a success in China, Tencent Games brought it to India.

We need to keep in mind that the mixed ownership and the IP registrations might not be the actual reason as to why these mobile video games are not banned. And the government also hasn't issued any statement on this topic yet.

Google and Apple stores have removed all 59 banned Chinese apps. TikTok was the first application of them all to be taken down from play store. In an official statement, Tiktok noted that it is working with the Indian government right now.

Call of Duty postpones new seasons and updates


It was the news shared on the official twitter handle of Call of Duty. The statement reads: "Right now, its time for those speaking up for equality, justice and change to be seen and heard." The announcement also said that the gaming company will be postponing the launches of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare season 4 and CoD: Mobile season 7.
